Edwards Family
Rev. Dr. Alonzo B. Patterson
In loving memory of Mr. Edwards, a truly exceptional gentleman and a guiding father figure. His warm smile and gracious hospitality welcomed us into his home. His unwavering dedication to his family, career, and those he met left an enduring impact filled with warmth and joy. Mr. Edwards was a man of few words, yet when he spoke, his words resonated with wisdom and meaning. His smile alone conveyed volumes, reflecting the kindness in his heart. It was a true honor to be considered a friend to such a remarkable soul.
Your father was one of the kindest, loving, hard working men I have ever known, Gwen. Knowing him since our Ft. Rich days (we were 14!), influenced my world view. I am holding you and your Mom and family in my heart♥️.
I remember in school as I was getting to know you, you would talk about everything. Sometimes I would be surprised at the things you said. During this time is when you became my little sister. One thing was sure: You loved your daddy! Of the two black folks I knew on campus from Alaska, I got to know a wonderful young woman (and no, you have not aged). The other Alaskan was quite a bit strange. I even think you avoided him. My prayers and condolences to you and your family.
I give the family my condolences ❤ He was definitely loved by many. I can remember being a little girl and your family would come and visit us in Greenville. Even back then he was a very distinguished gentleman. Give Aunt Clem a big hug for me. I am praying for peace and strength for the family. God bless and love you❤🙏🏽
Your dad was a wonderful man!! Thank you for sharing him with us all this time in Alaska. He's a jewel and will never be forgotten. May all the memories with your father sustain a permanent smile to your face and continue to overflow your heart with gratitude. May the Lord continue to keep his hand and keep watch over the Edward's family.
We offer up our Heartfelt Condolences to you and the family! What a Beautiful pic of you and your dad! Gwen, he will always remain dad to you. He’ll always be with you, hold on to the wonderful memories you both shared! Our prayers are with and for you guys. We’re here for you! Blessings and Love🥰❤️
There are few people I hold in sacred regard, and Mr. Claude stands among them. He lived honorably and carried himself with a quiet and unshakeable dignity. He was one the hardest working men I knew and loved his family fiercely. I’ll miss the warmth of his lovely smile and his comforting hugs every time I’d see him at his home. He will forever remain in the highest place in my heart. Rest peacefully, Mr. Claude.
I worked for Bro. Claude at Shiloh MBC, in the security ministry. Claude was that guy, straight forward, holding punches back, but fair. He led by example and Claude cared about the church and for those who worked for him. We shared many stories, laughs, and communications regarding everything! From the time we served in the Army until the time we met at Shiloh. We talked about how Bro. Leroy Price unprocessed him on Ft. Richardson and now here we are all together again working in the Army of Our Lord and Savior. Lots and lots of laughs. Bro. Claude will be missed. I will continue to keep the family in prayer. RIP Bro. Claude
We were so honored to be included in saying farewell to your husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather. Mr. Edwards, as well as all of you, will be in our hearts forever. You are the kindest family we have ever known and our very dear neighbor. With love, The DeHart's.
